OpenText Archiving and Document Access (ADA) Installation

What is OpenText ADA:

Using OpenText ADA for SAP Solutions,we can store documents ,SAP and non-SAP data ,on a Secure archive server.

 

Required Software Package:

OpenText SAP Basis package

 

SAP Patchlevel Requirement :

Patch Level for SAPERP 6.0.The minimum requirement for software components SAP_Basis and SAP_ABA is release 700 and Patch level 16.

 

OpenText 10.5 ADA addon installation.

 

1. Download the OpenText 10.5 ADA from SMP

2. Extract the file using SAPCAR and put it in /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in

 

36> cd /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in

37> ls -ltr

-rw-r-----    1    sapsys     14925055 Sep 18 15:47 OTEXBAS_INST_1050_700.SAR

38> ./SAPCAR.EXE -xvf OTEXBAS_INST_1050_700.SAR 

SAPCAR: processing archive OTEXBAS_INST_1050_700.SAR (version 2.01)

x EPS/in

x EPS/in/Q6V0020073437_0000001.PAT

SAPCAR: 3 file(s) extracted

 

 

3. Install the OpenText 10.5 addon using SAINT transaction

Login to 000 client with "DDIC" authorization id.

Goto SAINT transaction code and load the packages from the application server . Then start the OT 10.5 ADA addon installation.

Select "Continue"

Provide the password based on the SAP Note 1978340 and continue.

Change the start options from dialog to background.

The OT 10.5 ADA has been installaed successfully.

For every client, the Business Configuration Sets (BC Sets) must be activated after the Installation.

 

Activate BC sets using the SCPR20 transaction.

 

  Activate the BC Sets in the following sequence:

/OTEXBAS/BASIS_ARCHIVING_1

/OTEXBAS/DOCULINK_ALL1050

/OTEXBAS/VIEWER_CUSTOMIZING
