What is OpenText ECMLink for SAP Solutions
OpenText ECMLink for SAP Solutions (ECMLink) is a combination of a Content Server module and an SAP package,
Using that we can integrate Content Server functionality into SAP business processes. This includes functionality for document and records management, archiving, workflow and collaboration.
SAP Prerequisites:
ECMLink supports the following SAP Products
SAP ERP 6.0
SAP CRM 7.0
The component OTEXBAS of OpenText Archiving and Document Access (ADA) for SAP Solutions must be installed on your SAP system before installaing the OpenText ECMLink.
The minimum requirement for software components SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA is release 700, patch level 16.
OpenText ECMLink 10.5 Add on Installation
1. Download the OpenText ECMLink 10.5 addon component
2. Extract the file and put it into /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in
3. Install the addon using SAINT
Login to 000 client with "DDIC" authorization
Goto SAINT transaction code and load the packages from the application server.
Select the OpenText ECMLink Addon and start the installation.
Provide the password based on the Note 1978341.
Change the start option from dialog to background and continue.
The addon has been installaed successfully.
BC set needs to be activated after the addon installation
Activate the BC set using the SCPR20 transaction.
Activate the following BC Sets:
• /OTEXRL/RM_LINK_02
• /OTEXRL/RM_SEA
Check the authorizations for the roles after activating the BC set.
a. Use transaction PFCG to open the Role Maintenance.
b. Check the following roles:
• /OTX/RM_ADMIN
• /OTX/RM_CS_SAP_USER
• /OTX/RM_RFCSERVICE.
• /OTX/RM_USER
• /OTX/RM_IMPERSONATED_USER_ROLE
c. Ensure that the Authorizations tab has a green icon. If it is yellow, you must regenerate the authorizations: Click Display Authorization Data, and then Generate.
